V.V.R. Subramanian Honored with Honorary Doctorate in Journalism by Global Human Peace University

Kanyakumari | May 3, 2025 — Global Human Peace University (GHPU) proudly conferred the Honorary Doctorate Award in Journalism upon Mr. V.V.R. Subramanian, the Managing Director and Associate Editor of Dinamalar (Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, and Tenkasi Editions), in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of journalism and social service.

A fourth-generation journalist and the great-grandson of Dinamalar’s founder T.V. Ramasubbaiyer, Mr. Subramanian carries forward a legacy rooted in patriotism, cultural pride, and fearless journalism. His great-grandfather, a prominent freedom fighter, played a historic role in bringing Kanyakumari district into Tamil Nadu and in uplifting Tamil identity through responsible journalism.

Mr. V.V.R. Subramanian holds a Master’s degree in Electronic Media and has devoted his life to strengthening regional journalism. Through his editorial leadership, the southern editions of Dinamalar continue to serve as pillars of credible news and public awareness.

More than a journalist, he is celebrated as a social worker and community leader, known for organizing numerous welfare initiatives across Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, and Tenkasi districts. His dedication to temple service and grassroots development makes him deeply respected among the people he serves.
