Chennai | January 10, 2025 Global Human Peace University (GHPU) proudly conferred the prestigious Honorary Doctorate in Public Administration upon Mr. Maddukuri Venkateswarlu, IAS (Retd.), in recognition of his remarkable four-decade-long service to the nation. The award ceremony, held in Chennai, celebrated his unwavering commitment to socio-economic development and administrative excellence.
A native of Ravipadu village in Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Venkateswarlu’s illustrious career began in 1985 as a Deputy Tahsildar. With a strong academic foundation, including a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from Andhra University, he dedicated 36 years to empowering underprivileged communities across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
From serving as Revenue Divisional Officer and Project Director in Kurnool and Adilabad, to his leadership roles as Additional Commissioner of GHMC, District Revenue Officer, and Managing Director of AP Handicrafts Development Corporation, Mr. Venkateswarlu consistently focused on developmental programs that uplifted rural artisans, enhanced urban livelihoods, and provided vital public welfare services.
His efforts in relief and rehabilitation, education for underprivileged students, and promotion of rural economies left a lasting impact on society. Multiple recognitions, including “Best Officer” awards, further stand testimony to his integrity, compassion, and vision-driven governance.
Mr. Venkateswarlu retired from public service in April 2019, yet continues to inspire generations through his contributions to humanity and administrative reform.
