February 20, 2022 | Chennai – Dr. Krishantha Pathiraja received the Honorary Doctorate Award in Information Technology from Global Human Peace University in Chennai. Recognized for his outstanding contributions to technology, education, and public service, he holds multiple leadership and academic roles. Dr. Krishantha Pathiraja is a distinguished Sri Lankan leader with over 19 years of experience in both the private and public sectors since 2004. Currently serving as the Chairman of the Palmyrah Development Board under the Ministry of Plantation, he also holds key roles as Director of HDFC Bank, Consultant to the Hon. State Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Brand Ambassador of LAKSALA.
A respected academic and professional, Dr. Pathiraja is a Senior Lecturer at the Sri Lanka Police Academy – Katana and an External Member of the Faculty Board of Social Sciences and Languages at the University of Sabaragamuwa. His expertise spans Business Administration, Strategic Management, and Information Technology.
Internationally recognized, he was appointed to the Scientific Advisory Board of DK International Research Foundation in Tamil Nadu, India, in January 2022, and as Executive Director of the International American Council for Research and Development (ACRD), USA, in December 2022.
Dr. Pathiraja holds a PhD in Business Administration from the USA, a PhD (Honorary) in Information Technology from India, and a PhD in Strategic Management from Cambodia. He is a Fellow of California Public University, USA, and a professional member of the British Computer Society (UK) and the Chartered Institute of ICT.
